PCSX2 Triplewide Fixes

Added triplewide support to 3 games on PCSX2.  The pnach files are designed for 5040x1050 but it should work ok for most triplewide resolutions.  If you are really picky you could edit it yourself or I can upload more versions.

These require the latest version of PCSX2 (SVN 1.1).  Put the pnach files in /cheats_ws/ folder, check the "Enable Widescreen Fixes" feature in the system menu, then enable "Fit To Screen"  in GSdx window options.  Enjoy!

PCSX2 DIwheel mod

This is a little project I've been working on the past few days. Its a plugin originally written by jackun (based on qemu) on PCSX2 forums, but I have extended its features to allow multiple controller input and converted to DirectInput to allow more wheel support on windows 32.

It allows proper use of steering wheel with force feedback on the PS2 emulator PCSX2.

Games that I've have tested and confirmed working are Gran Turismo 4 and Enthusia Professional Racing.

Wheels I've tested:  G25, DFP, Fanatec, Thrustmaster T500

Known Bugs:
Some have reported slowdowns (hit or miss)
You may need to restart PCSX2 after configuration

Have a good Christmas!

v1.1 12/26/2013
-fixed crash bug on reboot CDVD

Downloads Link Updated

Updated the link on the sidebar for the Google Drive, the old link was producing error 500 for some strange reason.

This is not my fault, apparently Google Drive has made some changes, the new link seems to work although it is still a bit slow.

Gran Turismo Gauges for RBR v1.2 Update

A bit of an oldie, but still worth updating.

Originally this was based on GT5 Prologue, but after GT5 was released the layout was changed so this one tries to reflect those changes.  Also I lost the Font I used for some of the text so I had to use the best I could find (water + kmh text).

1.2 5/8/2013
  • g meter now correctly converted from m/s
  • added water gauge
  • increased km/h update rate slighly
  • lowered turbo gauge position
  • fixed shiftlight blink
  • shiftlight back to 5500 rpm

If you have old version, you can safely remove these old files from the game directory.

There is three modes in Free-Look now.

Sleeping Dogs: Gymkhana

Saw this on YouTube today and had to share it.  Very cool to see all the creative ways my tools are used for making videos.  Especially given the limited time I was able to put into this mod.  It's like GoPro for video games!  Amazing.

I've been following Barth3z for a while. I'm sure he put a lot of time into this so check out more of his videos below (most of them using camera control mod) and like+sub.

ToCAEDIT now in blog format

I've needed a way to easily post news and have the ability to post video, so the choice was obvious!

Hope you all enjoy the new look!

MultiView Research

I have been poking around with multiple viewports with many games that currently do not support it.

Why you ask?

Because there is some benefits when using multiple monitors or for allowing cool features such as rear-view mirrors or cinematic viewpoints while you focus on the driving, killing, or whatever it is you want to be doing.

The first game I've attempted this with was WRC3, you can see the video of that attempt below.

That didn't work as well as I would have liked. Then I tried my luck with The Elder Scrolls SKYRIM and struck gold.  Not only was I able to create one viewport, but seven plus!

Check out the results below.

Whats this all Mean?

Well, it would change the way we play many games on triplescreen.  This would practically eliminate the fisheye effect like iRacing, rFactor, and LFS already do.  Also, it would include more visual data that was missing before.

It isn't limited to only that!

Imagine if processing power wasn't a factor, you could theoretically create a sphere of views to encompass you as you play.  Take for instance the two screenshots below.

325 degrees

~390 degrees

This is like playing a live panorama. Imagine using this with some of the TV's below.

At the moment this is only a proof of concept, there are some bugs to be worked out.  Also, this would need to be written as game-specific so it's no free lunch.

Sometime in the near future I'd like to have a system in place (for certain games) that would demonstrate and allow for as many customizable viewports as one could like.

    Drive Updates

I’ve organized the downloads into game specific folders, added some descriptions and enabled comments for all files.

Also I’m slowly starting to re-add the files I deleted earlier due to false virus reports.

    NFSMW (2012) Realistic Plugin Released!

This neat little plugin package includes everything needed for a realistic experience. I’ve fixed all the bugs from the previous version of camera control and now you should be able to play through the game properly. As a bonus It also includes options to properly use your force-feedback wheel (or gamepad if you prefer). Originally the game had some weak inverted effects and really slow turning rates. This is all done by modifying the existing game code rather than create totally new code like I usually would.

A lot of research went into this! Happy Holidays and enjoy!

    What's new in v3.02 on 12/15/2012?
    • Fixed and tested TrackIR

    What's new in v3.01 on 12/13/2012?
    • Fixed a spring multiplier bug

    What's new in v3.0 on 12/13/2012?
    • Changed name from Camera Control to Realistic Plugin
    • Added Dialog window on launch
    • Added advanced force-feedback options (spring multiplier)
    • Added advanced steering options (raw input, linearity)
    • Added ability to disable crash cams
    • Added ability to auto enable camera control
    • Added ability to toggle glass texture (effects occlusion is still occurring)
    • Last preset used is now remembered
    • Fixed more bugs with cutscenes, etc.

Coming Soon - WRC 3 - ADVANCED Plugin

This is a project I’ve been working on in collaboration with EC Sim Hardware. It is due for release very soon and you will be able to find it here when it is released.

Some of the feature it adds are complete dead-zone removal, multiple controller support, clutch and h-shifter support, triplescreen support, camera control is built in, also there is an option to disable auto-respawn. I would like to thank EC Sim Hardware for helping produce this plugin, without them, it wouldn’t have been possible.

    A decade of fun!

Some of you may not remember the early days of ToCAEDIT, maybe not even born yet!

It all started as a passion for experimenting with a simple program for the video game ToCA Touring Cars, 'ToCARipper'. It was a modest tool that didn’t actually do any modding. It only allowed you to view textures and sounds, yet, it was the beginning of something much bigger.

Soon it turned into dozens of projects, then before I knew it (8 years later) there were a hundred projects up for download. One of the most downloaded and notable being XBOX 360 Controller Emulator, which is still a necessity for many people today.

I have high hopes for ToCAEDIT in the coming years and will strive to stay in the scene providing quality mods as long as possible. Many have come only to have disappeared after one or two projects, but me, I will be here as long as games can be modded.

I'd like to thank all my users and friends out there that have been with me the whole way. This has been for the most part a one-man operation, but without you, it would all be for nothing.

Thanks and Happy 10 Years! Bring on another 10!

    KINECT2TIR 1.0 Released

This application utilizes Kinect depth camera data to emulate TrackIR hardware in several games. It allows for head tracking in low light conditions without any extra head gear. Results may vary.

This program should work with Kinect for XBOX360 (tested) and Kinect for Windows (untested)

I'm looking for a mirror, once one is found this link will be updated.

    UPDATE:

A mirror has been added below. Also for some games (DIRT3, F12011, etc..) you will need a neat little program called TrackIRFixer

    Connection Issue

Some files were removed today due to them being detected as a virus. My ISP thinks I am distributing trojans so I've removed the affected files and left the clean ones up for download.

You may be able to find one of the removed files on Google, but until I can figure out what to do about it, they will no longer be hosted on this server.

I've never had evil intentions and I believe all my files are safe to run, but one of my previous web servers may have been compromised or they are just falsely flagged.

    Files Removed
    • tdu2cam.zip
    • rbrnet3.0b.zip
    • tdu2cam11.zip
    • tdu2cam12.zip
    • tdu2cam13.zip
    • assassinscreedfov.zip
    • hitmanfov.zip
    • mbwrtrainer.zip
    • racedriver3hshifter.zip
    • rbrnet1.7.zip
    • rbrnet2.1.zip
    • rbrnet2.0.zip
    • rbrnet2.2.zip
    • rbrnet3.0b.zip
    • spiderman3res.zip

In other news, the RBRnet matchmaking service is back up and running, but the distribution file was falsely flagged as a virus so youll have to look for rbrnet3.0b.zip elsewhere for the time being.

And here is a little preview of what is to come; Sleeping Dogs Camera Control!
